I don’t write nearly as many stories as other fanfic authors, but I have enough that I thought putting up a master post to provide easy access might help people find them, both the old and the new. So, in mostly reverse chronological order as written, here’s a master list of links to all my Supernatural fanfiction. I've begun to record my stories into MP3 podfic format; as I complete recordings, I'll be adding the podfic links here, under the description of each story.
Just so you know, I am strictly a canon writer (except for the stories set in the past on which I’ve been Kripke’d). There is no slash here. There are relationships that may include non-explicit sex, but all of them were established in show canon. Only one of them went farther in my story than in the show itself; pardon me for giving Bobby and Jody the chance to consummate a relationship before Bobby died. :)
The story title links take you to the appearance of the stories on LJ. The stories - along with my work in a few other fandoms - are also collected over on my account on fanfiction.net.
I hope you enjoy them. If you do, please consider letting me know: comments are love and chocolate! :)
"Each soul makes its own Heaven." A melancholy drabble, perhaps from the end of the show. 100 words.
You can now listen to or download the podfic version of this story, read by me. It's 42 minutes long, and 38.56 MB as an MP3 download. (Apologies, but if you're using Firefox, the player/links may not work; they work fine in IE and Chrome. Don't know why Firefox is being balky with the player code ...)
The Impala Chronicles (Forty-Some Years In A Life)
This collection of individual stories is a work in progress. My intent is to write one short story for each year of the Impala’s existence, putting the car and its owners into the context of the absolutely real-world American history I lived through: the civil rights struggle, the space program, Vietnam, and more, complete with an absolutely period-appropriate soundtrack, since classic rock is so much a part of this show. I began this in July 2009, long before Swan Song aired, so my early history doesn’t match canon any longer, but I’m not going to change it. Despite the long breaks in writing this, I do intend to finish it and bring it current; I just haven’t any idea when I’ll accomplish that, given other demands on my time. I’m only ten years in so far. Each story can be read individually, but it would be best to start at the beginning, since early stories in particular include characters you don’t already know who continue in time. They’re each quite short.
Chapter 1 – June 12, 1967: Black And White
Chapter 2 – November 20, 1968: Cursed
Chapter 3 – July 20, 1969: Moon Magic
Chapter 4 – August 27, 1970: Culture Clash
Chapter 5 – April 22-24, 1971: Blowin’ In The Wind
Chapter 6 – December 26, 1972: Paint It Black
Chapter 7 – November 22, 1973: The Dark Side of the Moon
Chapter 8 – August 9, 1974: Along The Way
Chapter 9 – April 30, 1975: Shelter From The Storm
Chapter 10 – June 17, 1976: Stars and Stripes Forever
This little precisely 100-word drabble was my contribution to the “Valentine’s Kiss” drabble contest in February 2009. Dean’s alone on a case on Valentine’s Day, pre-series.
As the days add up after Dean's death, Sam does his best to keep fighting -- and that means hunting with Ruby and his mind. This is a casefic set between 3.16 No Rest For The Wicked and 4.1 Lazarus Rising, running about 12,000 words in two parts on LJ, or one part on ff.net.
Forty-one Days Of Metallicar: 41 Collected Impala Drabbles
For alias_chick ’s 41 Days of Metallicar countdown to the Season Four premiere, I wrote daily, precisely 100-word drabbles involving the Impala. Here’s the complete collection. The stories randomly span the first three seasons of the show as well as pre-series time, and involve Dean, Sam, John, Mary, Bobby, Pastor Jim, Henricksen, Reidy, Ellen, and some OFCs and OMCs.
This collection is also available in Russian thanks to smth_evil with lovely illustrations by HerbstRegen. Go see!
And now you can also listen to or download the audio of me reading the stories as podfic! This one runs 38 minutes, and is 36MB in size if you download. (Apologies, but if you're using Firefox, the player/links may not work; they work fine in IE and Chrome. Don't know why Firefox is being balky ...)
In this 6,270 word coda to 3.16 No Rest For The Wicked, Sam and Bobby bury Dean. I wrote this one before the premiere of 4.1 Lazarus Rising, trying to work through my own grief for the Winchesters and Bobby. I think it worked eerily well. The gorgeous banner art is by cakehole_cat . This is doubtless the one story for which I am best known.
This story is also available in French on ff.net thanks to chiiyo86 .
In this 3,400 word piece set vaguely in season three, Sam and Dean save the lives of a married couple, who in turn have to deal with knowing about the supernatural.
You can now listen to or download the podfic version of this story, read by me. It's 24 minutes long, and 21.2 MB as an MP3 download. (Apologies, but if you're using Firefox, the player/links may not work; they work fine in IE and Chrome. Don't know why Firefox is being balky ...)
40 Days of Metallicar: Daily Impala Haiku
For alias_chick's "40 Days of Metallicar" countdown to the Season Three premiere, celebrating the Impala's 40th birthday, I contributed a daily haiku featuring the car. Here's the complete set!
My very first 100-word drabble about John was prompted by discovering the military aviation meaning of the codeword “Winchester.”
Some hours after the end of Fresh Blood, Sam finds himself unable to sleep, but his intended coffee run in the Impala turns into an introspection session instead. About 2,600 words.
This one is also available in MP3 audio form as podfic, read by me! You can listen or download here. It's about 18 minutes long, and 16MB. (Apologies, but if you're using Firefox, the player/links may not work; they work fine in IE and Chrome. Don't know why Firefox is being balky ...)
Paying The Price
Three weeks after The Magnificent Seven, Dean has cause to wonder how you know when you're in Hell. This is a combination of casefic and psychological horror in about 4,600 words.
You can listen to or download the story in MP3 audio here. It's about 34 minutes long and 30 MB. (Apologies, but if you're using Firefox, the player/links may not work, although they work fine in Chrome and IE.)
I really hated the Impala origin story as initially told in the Supernatural: Origins comic book and felt impelled to write my own take. My little Impala tribute fic is more a series of vignettes than a true short story, about 3,700 words.
This little 900-word humor piece was my first Supernatural tale, looking at the impression one outsider got of the Winchesters on a standard salt-and-burn.
