Ummm ... was that an impression ... I left????

Okay, so I haven't fully processed 4.18 yet, but ... there was one character in there made me laugh out loud. Dare I think that I might have contributed to that visual??  Hmm ... brown hair with an obviously dyed blonde swatch ...

Kripke with me in LA ...

Jensen with me in LA ...

ROFLMAO!!  (mind you, I don't really believe I was the inspiration -- but it sure is funny!!)

The real observations will come later. So will my grossly overdue responses to all the comments on my last blog, for which I apologize profusely ...

Well, that'd be so cool if you did.
bardicvoice: Human Impalabardicvoice on April 3rd, 2009 02:42 am (UTC)
Wouldn't it, though? Cracks me the hell up!!

I need to go to bed; this is the week from Hell at work. See you later, Whimsy!

oh wow!!! does that totally rock!!!

You don't ACTUALLY HAVE THE TATTOO THO, DO YOU??? It's so pretty, I would almost get it!!! :) When the Boys showed their tats as proof of identity in this one, it was too too cool.

One day I will meet Ben Edlund .... edit: I was a big fan of the Tick comic book and had a two page letter, with pictures, published in Man Eating Cow. So they wrote me in! by name!!! It's so totally awesome. They do feel the love you know!
bardicvoice: Human Impalabardicvoice on April 3rd, 2009 02:48 am (UTC)
Sorry, no tats - getting a tattoo would take me out of blood platelet donations for a year, not to mention that I still can't imagine wanting a permanent design on my skin somewhere, not even the anti-possession flaming pentacle ...

Meeting Kripke was a MAJOR event for me! If you want to read all about it, I memorialized the con at http://bardicvoice.livejournal.com/23720.html. I saw Ben Edlund at Comic Con year before last, but haven't met him; still, it's obvious that he is a trip! Good on you for making it into the comic!

God. I can't wait for your review because honestly? I didn't find that funny. It felt sarcastic and like I was being laughed AT and not with. Truly, I'm crying just thinking about it. I have the tat and now I just want it removed because apparently to them it simply means I'm an obsessed loser.... I can't even LOOK at my user name now without cringing...
fannishliss: eye of the tiger!fannishliss on April 3rd, 2009 03:06 am (UTC)
It IS a very cool tat. I don't have any at all, so you are COOL and NOT a loser for making the commitment.

Trust me, the episode wasn't mean-spirited in intent at all. And the flaming pentacle image is a beautiful one!

Don't feel shame; there is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of. This episode sent up everything and everyone: did you notice that the diner was "Kripke's Hollow," teasing both Kripke and Jared? And the woman with the variation on my hair was named Sera Siege in the script, taking off on both Sera Gamble and Julie Siege of the writing staff, and they similarly sent up both Jeremy Carver and Ben Edlund in the writer's pen name. Moreover, Kripke and the writers took their own lumps for Bugs and Red Sky at Morning. I could go on, but the point is - we were all in it together, and all of us similarly obsessed.

And funniest of all, perhaps, was that the writer and his publisher were printing the truth; giving life to prophecy. What does that make of us, hmm? That we see more truly than we know?

Peace, my dear.

See? I do feel a little better. Thanks. And I did love Cas in this and Dean saving the day with both a prophet and an archangel in tow...

also if you're worried about how the boys responded to Sera Seige showing them her tattoo. I don't think it was the tattoo that they were surprised by, I think it was more that this woman that they just met, was so willing to pull down her pants in front of them. It wasn't her fannishness that was the strange part, it was the "over-sharing" that shocked them.

and if I ever got a tattoo, it would most definitely be that. the symbol looks cool all on its own, even if you were not a fan of supernatural it would be cool looking. Girl, do NOT feel ashamed of who and what you are. if someone else doesn't like it, it's just because they don't understand what it's like to give your heart and mind so completely to something. they don't know the exhilaration that they are missing - that's their problem, not yours.

Thanks for that. On some cooler reflection, I've decided that that is what the whole disconnect is. It's obvious to me now that neither Eric, the other writers or the boys have ever felt as passionately about something as we all do. I've been trying to see it more from their perspective, and I think I feel a little sorry for them. As much as they are all the object of our fannish passion, they won't ever truly be a part of it -- if that makes sense...

I agree... and to be honest, I envy those that have something in their life that they ARE so passionate about. I love 'Supernatural' and it has become a fun part of my life, and I am happy to have found bardicvoice. But I am still in search of that total passion for something, you kwim? I am happy for all the fans out there! That's what life needs, right?

Eeeee! Awesome!!!

Tee-hee! I don't really think I had anything to do with it, but that image? Laugh out loud time!

Oh, honey, if that's not a shout-out, I will eat my ENTIRE HAT COLLECTION! ROTFLMAO!!

And look, Kripke gave you bigger boobs. *SPORTLE*

Oh, that was darling, and I could tell hubby that the *real* you is not at all an airhead. Hee!

Oh that would be awesome if you really were the inspiration!! You never know...Kripke's a sneaky little devil.

OMG!!!! You know, Mary.... Okay, first let me say that I haven't rewatched and I haven't really processed either (or read any of the about comments), but... It really irritated the crap out of me that they used the same actress from the DanaShulps episode. It was so obvious and inexplicable.

I don't believe in coincidences! and the resemblance is more than a little uncanny. LOLOLOL! Of course, the character is a composite caricature, but that's just funny as hell!!! :D :D :D

OMG!!! That would be awesome!!! I love that Sera Siege was not only enthralled and obsessed with Sam and Dean...but also very possessive and protective. She had concerns about the sincerity of her two visitors and clearly stated that she "didn't want any smart-ass article making fun of her boys!" That's just incredible!!! The writers know some fans may gripe and b*tch about things......but most of us are wickedly protective of the show, its writers and its cast! Don't mess with our boys!!
sn_mistresssn_mistress on April 6th, 2009 01:00 am (UTC)

I'm just getting caught up on my friends' postings when I came across this.

This is absolutely too funny. I posted my review blog on Friday here and on BFZ and I actually commented in it on the likelihood that you were the hair model for Sera Siege's character. OMG...and then I see your wonderful post now and I'm thinking we were both thinking the same thing. *Dies laughing.*

Love, love, love it!!! :) :) :)

Take care, Mary.

Why not? Jamie got a shout out, so did TWoPBarnes or at least that is the joke and of course Simpatico, so it could be possible. I'd like to think so
